Access to the court system is one of the most important resources that most victims of domestic/sexual abuse need in their path to safety and freedom, and the availability of an attorney can make all the difference in a victim’s efforts. Hope Center received and implemented grants in 2015 to fund a staff attorney – greatly expanding the agency’s civil legal services.

The Hope Center Staff Attorney works out of an office on Hope Center’s campus. This attorney represents survivors in civil matters that are common as they try to rebuild their lives, such as custody, divorce, support, and housing, etc. Victims/clients seeking representation from this attorney must meet income eligibility guidelines.
