Hope Center provides a variety of educational programs for the Schuylkill County community. The goals of these programs are to raise awareness, focus on prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault, teach an understanding of problem behaviors, healthy relationships, and to make the community aware of the services Hope Center offers. Specific programs are also available for Schools, Community Groups, Businesses, Faith-Based Organizations, Law Enforcement, and Medical Professionals.

FACT: Victims are 4 times more likely to seek help from domestic violence agencies after talking with their healthcare provider about abuse.

Our Medical Advocacy Program (MAP) Trainer provides programs for professionals within the healthcare system, helping doctors, nurses, and others determine if a patient who is seeking medical treatment is a victim of domestic violence and how then to respond.

Trainings can be specifically designed to meet the needs of your staff AND altered to meet any time-requirement.

Trainings provide education to your staff on:

• Routine Domestic Violence Screening and Appropriate Responses
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Screening
• Signs, Symptoms, and Dangers of Strangulation
• How to Recognize and Help Victims of Human Trafficking
• The Long-Term Effects of Domestic Violence (ACE Studies)
• Anonymous Forensic Rape Exams
• Reproductive Coercion and Sexual Assault
